Type locality: Rio Amaña, Estado do Amazonas, Brazil [4.4000°S, 57.5833°W]

TypesHolotype: IBSP (= IB) 10062, an 885 mm male (C. Worontzow, Feb. 1937). 
Diagnosis 
CommentBehavior: nocturnal

Habitat: semiarboreal, fully arboreal (Harrington et al. 2018)

Diet: primarily lizards

Distribution: see ma in Caldeira et al 2010. See map in Nogueira et al. 2019. 
Etymologynamed after Cesar Worontzow, who collected the type in 1937.
