Diagnosis 
CommentSynonymy: This species may be synonymous to P. poecilonotus as the latter is extremely variable. Pseustes shropshirei (Barbour and Amaral 1924) appears to be based on a typical obscurely banded and light-spotted example of Panamanian P. poecilonotus, as pointed out by Amaral (1929). See SAVAGE 2002 for a discussion. Note that the deadline for WALLACH et al. 2014 was late 2012, hence Jadin et al. 2013 is the most recent analysis of this genus.

Distribution: This species has been reported from Peru, but without specific locality (T. Doan, pers. comm. 30 Apr 2012). Not in Venezuela fide NATERA-MUMAW et al. 2015, but there fide Señaris et al. 2018.

Habitat: partly arboreal (Harrington et al. 2018).
