Type locality: Camiguin Island (18°55'N, 121°55'E), Babuyan Island Group; ca. 1.5 km E of Mambit, elevation 70 m.  
Reproductionoviparous 
TypesHolotype: PNM 2044, a juvenile female; captured 21 May 1989 by R. I. Crombie and H. Ota. Paratypes. USNM 319283-319285, a juvenile male and two juvenile females from Mambit, alt. 5 m; captured 19 May 1989; CAS 188163, a juvenile female, and USNM 319286, a juvenile male, both from the same locality as holotype; captured 19 and 22 May 1989, respectively. All captured by H. Ota and R. I. Crombie. 
Diagnosis 
CommentLycodon bibonius is distinct from other Lycodon species in the Philippines in having 22-25 and 16-21 pale bands on the body and tail, respectively
