Type locality: "Yucatan, Mexico."  
Reproductionoviparous 
TypesHolotype: USNM 6563, an 838 mm specimen (A. Schott, 7 Jan. 1866). 
Diagnosis 
CommentHabitat: fully arboreal (Harrington et al. 2018). 
EtymologyFrom the Latin tenuissimus meaning slim in allusion to its slender appearance.
