Type locality: “Chichirota, Lower Bobonaza River, Napo- Pastaza Prov., Ecuador.”

Diagnosis 
CommentHabitat: fully arboreal (Harrington et al. 2018).

Synonymy: populations of D. vermiculata have been split off as D. welborni by Arteaga & Batista 2023.
